*The 2018 NTL Finals in New Orleans competition is open to ALL who want to compete. Teams must register at NTL2018.com.


Top 5 teams from each league location will qualify for both Regional Semifinals and/or Regional Tournaments. Top 5 teams from each venue will be determined by accumulated Trivia League points awarded at nightly shows from January 1, 2018, to the end of the qualifying period on June 30, 2018.

Trivia League Points are awarded for each nightly show and are not pooled between venues or shows.

Scoring System

  • 1st place: 5 points
  • 2nd place: 4 points
  • 3rd place: 3 points
  • 4th place: 2 points
  • 5th place: 1 point

Teams can be of an unlimited number for nightly shows, but are limited to a maximum of 5 players per team for Regional Semifinals and/or Finals and National Finals in New Orleans. Regional Semifinals and/or Final Tournaments will be announced per area on the respected Facebook page.

The 2018 National Finals in New Orleans are open to team members of all ages, but children (including infants) will count towards your 5 person maximum if they are at your table. Teams are permitted to qualify for Regional Tournaments more than once, but will not be permitted to sit near or communicate with each other during events. In order to have a team table at the 2018 National Finals in New Orleans, teams must also reserve a table by the announced deadline by registering and placing a required registration fee with Challenge Entertainment (see Registration for New Orleans below).

Subject to the terms herein, cash prizes will be awarded to the top teams after the 2018 NTL Final competition has completed, provided that all competing team members have complied with these Official Rules and have signed all necessary Releases, 1099-misc and any other forms as determined by Challenge Entertainment. In the event that a winning team has more than one player, it will be up to that team’s captain to divide and distribute any cash prize won.

Registration for New Orleans – NTL2018.com

Registration for the Challenge Entertainment’s 2018 National Trivia League Final Competition in New Orleans will officially open to all Pre-Registered teams on July 1, 2018, at 12:00 p.m. Eastern Daylight Time. General registration opens to all on July 1, 2018, at 2:00 p.m. Eastern Daylight Time. The release of the official 2018 NTL Finals Registration website will be sent to all Pre-registered teams, and then publicized to all thereafter on July 1, 2018, at 2:00 p.m. Eastern Daylight Time via all Challenge Entertainment Facebook pages and main website, www.challengeentertainment.com.

Registration fee amount is $299 per team. Your registration fee will be collected at the time of registration and is non-refundable. Available slots for the 2018 NTL Finals in New Orleans are first come, first served. After all the slots have been successfully filled, a Waiting List will be generated. If at any time there is a slot open, Challenge Entertainment representatives will start at the first team name on the Waiting List and proceed in contacting that team. The contacted team on the Waiting List will have 48 hrs. in order to reply and successfully register with payment before that Waiting List slot is released for another awaiting team on Waiting List.

If you or your teammates stay at the Hyatt Regency in New Orleans for a minimum of two nights and compete in the 2018 NTL Finals, you will be reimbursed $100 after your stay. One reimbursement per registered team.*

The process can take 5-7 business days after your team competes in the 2018 NTL Final competition; reimbursement will be applied to the credit card used for the 2018 NTL registration. Go to NTLHyatt2018.com to make your reservations (special NTL discounted rooms if booked prior to August 6, 2018).

If your team wins first place in your 2018 NTL Regional Tournament, we will reimburse your $299 registration fee after you compete with us in New Orleans and stay during the 2018 NTL Finals at the Hyatt Regency New Orleans, using the provided unique web link for reservations, for a minimum of 2 nights. If your 1st place 2018 NTL Regional Tournament team just competes with us in New Orleans this year without a Hyatt Regency New Orleans 2-night stay, you will be reimbursed $199. The process can take 5-7 business days after your team competes in the 2018 NTL Final competition; reimbursement will be applied to the credit card used for registration. Non-transferrable for reimbursement.

The 2018 National Trivia League Finals in New Orleans competes on August 25, 2018, at the Hyatt Regency New Orleans.

The Hyatt Regency NOLA has agreed to pay four percent (4%) of all hotel room revenues from participants in the Tournament to Challenge Entertainment to assist with Event-related costs and expenses.


Employees, contractors and affiliated agents or workers of Challenge Entertainment and their respective parent companies, subsidiaries, affiliates and agents, and those prize providers and agencies that are involved in the development or execution of any individual league event or any of its materials, as well as the immediate family (spouse, parents, siblings, and children) and household members of each such ineligible person are not eligible. Each league event is subject to all applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations and is void where prohibited by law. By participating in the league, each player fully and unconditionally agrees to and accepts the Official Rules and the decisions of Challenge Entertainment, which are final and binding in all matters related to the league.


Except where prohibited, participation in any league event constitutes entrant’s consent for Challenge Entertainment, the sponsor (if we have one), applicable prize providers and their respective designees to use player’s first and last name, likeness, prize information, city and state of residence, and any comments, testimonials or other feedback related to any prize or entrant’s league experience, whether written or oral, for promotional purposes in any media without further consideration.


In the event that the operation, security, or administration of any individual league event is impaired in any way for any reason, including, but, not limited to, fraud, human error, virus or other technical problems, Challenge Entertainment may, in its sole discretion, either: (a) modify the league event in a manner that best conforms to the spirit of the Official Rules without suspending it; (b) suspend the league event to address the impairment and then resume the league event in a manner that best conforms to the spirit of the Official Rules; or (c) cancel the league event and award the prizes in a random drawing from among all eligible players participating at the time of the impairment.

Challenge Entertainment reserves the right in its sole discretion to disqualify any individual it finds to be tampering with the qualifying process or the operation of the league event or to be acting in violation of the Official Rules of the league, league events or any other promotion, or in an unsportsmanlike or disruptive manner, from participation in any 2018 Challenge Entertainment National Trivia League event or any other events sponsored by Challenge Entertainment. Any attempt by any person to undermine the legitimate operation of any part of any 2018 Challenge Entertainment National Trivia League event may be a violation of criminal and civil law, and, should such an attempt be made, Challenge Entertainment reserves the right to seek damages from any such person to the fullest extent permitted by law. Challenge Entertainment’s failure to enforce any term of the Official Rules shall not constitute a waiver of that provision.


Except where prohibited, by participating in a league event each player agrees to release and hold harmless Challenge Entertainment and its subsidiaries, affiliates, promotional partners, prize partners, providers and their respective agents and agencies, officers, directors, contractors and employees, from and against any claim or cause of action arising out of participation in any league event or receipt, use or misuse of any prize, including, but not limited to: (a) unauthorized human intervention in the league event; (b) technical errors related to computers, servers, providers, or telephone, cellular, or network lines; (c) printing errors; (d) errors in the administration of any league event (e) late, lost, or undeliverable mail or email; or (f) injury or damage to persons or property which may be caused, directly or indirectly, in whole or in part, from entrant’s participation in the league event or receipt, use or misuse of any prize. The player further agrees that in any cause of action, the Released Parties’ liability will be limited to the cost of entering and participating in the National Trivia League Finals and in no event shall the Released Parties be liable for attorney’s fees. Player waives the right to claim any damages whatsoever, including, but not limited to, punitive, consequential, direct, or indirect damages (other than for actual out-of-pocket expenses or statutory damages) and any and all rights to have damages multiplied or otherwise increased. If any league event is discontinued for any reason, Challenge Entertainment, in its discretion, may elect to hold a random drawing from among all eligible players up to the date of discontinuance for any or all of the prizes offered herein. No more than the stated number of prizes for any individual league event will be awarded.


Each entrant agrees that: (i) any and all disputes, claims and causes of action arising out of or connected with the 2018 National Trivia League or any prizes awarded shall be resolved individually, without resort to any form of class action, and exclusively by the United State District Court for the Western District of Tennessee or the appropriate Tennessee state court located in Shelby County, Tennessee; and “(ii) any and all claims, judgments and awards shall be limited to actual out of pocket costs incurred, including costs associated with participating in the National Trivia League Tournaments, or statutory damages, but in no event attorneys’ fees. All issues and questions concerning the construction, validity, interpretation, and enforceability of the Official Rules, or the rights and obligations of the participant and Sponsor in connection with the National Trivia League tournament, shall be governed by and construed in accordance with, the laws of the State of Tennessee, without giving effect to any choice of law rules (whether the State of Tennessee or any other jurisdiction), which would cause the application of the laws of any jurisdiction other than the State of Tennessee.


No electronic devices will be allowed to be used once the game(s) have officially begun and announced by the Challenge Entertainment NTL Host. This includes but isn’t limited to cell phones, tablets, laptops, Smart watches and Bluetooth devices. Likewise, no written materials will be permitted to be brought into the competition room as well. This includes but isn’t limited to books, sheets, or handwritten notes.

Decisions as to what is and isn’t accepted will be left to the discretion of Challenge Entertainment 2018 NTL Corporate Production Staff and reserves the right in its sole discretion to amend these rules at any time and to take such actions as it deems appropriate in keeping with the fairness and integrity of the contest, including without limitation a determination to take no action.
